Byron Bay is just pure good energy
The beaches here are something else. Main Beach is clean, uncrowded in the mornings, and the water is that perfect blue-green. Great place to just switch off and do nothing for a few days.
Best surf town I've been to
Wategos Beach is absolutely stunning and a bit quieter than the main spots. The surf culture here is real, not just for show. Locals are laid-back and welcoming. Exactly what I needed after months of city life.
Cape Byron Lighthouse is worth every step
Walked up to Cape Byron Lighthouse and the views were honestly jaw-dropping. You can spot dolphins and whales from up there! The whole coastal walk is easy and beautiful. Don't skip it.
Great little town with solid food options
Ate my way through Jonson Street and had no complaints. Fresh açaí bowls, good coffee everywhere, and some really decent seafood spots. The food scene feels local and unpretentious, which I loved.
Chill beach holiday done right
Byron ticks all the boxes for a relaxed beach break. The markets on weekends are fun, the sunsets at the beach are genuinely stunning, and everything moves at a slower pace. Good change from the usual.
Perfect escape, totally worth it
Tallow Beach was my favourite spot - long, wild, and almost empty. Byron has this easy-going feel that's hard to find elsewhere. Accommodation options suit all budgets and the town itself is easy to get around on foot.
